Music at Bugg
The music education curriculum at Bugg Creative Arts and Science is based on the National Standards and the NC Music Education Curriculum standards. Through singing, listening, playing instruments, and many other activities, students receive a comprehensive curriculum-based music education.
Music education offers a wide variety of experiences in which a student can develop basic music skills, creativity, and self-confidence. Because music is an academic discipline, which has a language of its own, it is an essential part of the balanced curriculum. Through music education, students will explore an array of music literature as they develop an understanding of the relationship of music to life.

Through great integration and collaboration between the teachers at Bugg our music objectives are also met in the instructional classrooms.
There are now 32 students in The Ladybug Chorus. We have been working on the basics of vocal production, such as breathing, matching pitch, posture, vowels and diction, tone, blend, and movement while singing. These students are so enthusiastic and work so hard. What a great group!
